A Thousand Miles

1000 great miles through two countries
CHALLENGING BIKING      27 DAYS
Trip #ATM

Love to bike? Love a Challenge? Love the awesome feeling of accomplishing a goal? The Thousand Mile trip is a terrific blend of distance and fun! The route includes four states and two Canadian provinces with a more flexible itinerary, allowing your group to establish its own pace.

Biking on the 1,000 Mile Adventure is generally moderate and combines routes followed by other SHP groups through Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Quebec and Montreal – the scenery is spectacular! You and your group can expect to average about 55 miles a day, working towards your ultimate goal, the 1,000 mile mark, where you stop and write your victory message in chalk on the road for all to see!

True, the focus of ATM is distance, but this trip includes all the activities that make SHP fun and special. Opportunities to swim in pristine rivers and lakes, play Frisbee, roast marshmallows over campfi res, and explore beautiful sights such as Niagara Falls will add to the awesome experience provided for cyclists on the Thousand Mile trip. Excited, but nervous? That's natural. Go for the Gusto and be a part of this unique summer experience!
