Province du Quebec

The French experience - here in North America!
MODERATE BIKING      17 and 26 DAYS
Trip #QUE

Settled by the French 400 years ago, Quebec retains its heritage and European traditions. While English is often spoken, you can always expand your vocabulaire by deciphering signs, hearing French spoken and trying your own language skills in the shops. Quebec's vast network of long-distance bike trails will lead your group through beautiful, rolling countryside, stopping for snacks at a patisserie or bistro. Quebec also offers swimming, boating, history and art.

Québec City is the most "European" city in North America (and North America's only walled city!) and you stay right in the heart of Vieux-Québec. After a boat trip on the St. Lawrence River, your group will leave this great city by biking along that majestic river, passing an old-world cathedral.

The route to Mont Tremblant, on North America's longest bike trail, is acclaimed by many as its most beautiful. Mountain lakes and meadows, gorgeous scenery, quaint resort towns, and an afternoon canoe trip are highlights of this portion of the trip. Arriving in Montréal, you explore this cosmopolitan city, take an exciting speedboat ride down the Lachine Rapids, and share the farewell dinner in a French restaurant.
